Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions specialists ask most about partnering with Claim Resolution Partners.
What does Claim Resolution Partners do?
We take over qualified surplus funds deals from specialists. Once a deal is handed off, we become the claimant’s main point of contact and manage the full recovery — filing, trustee and county coordination, negotiations and attorneys when needed — through to disbursement.
Who can submit a deal?
Surplus funds recovery specialists, skip tracers and other professionals who have a deal that meets all six of our requirements.
What are the six requirements?
Funds confirmed with the county, clerk or court; skip tracing completed; attorney requirement determined; trustee or county contact information obtained; fee agreement signed by the claimant; and agreement that the recovery check is directed to Claim Resolution Partners for disbursement.
Why can’t I share the property address in the portal?
To protect your deal. The portal collects only what we need to evaluate it. Full deal details, including the property address and county, are shared after our agreement with you is signed.
What if the claimant hasn’t signed the fee agreement yet?
A signed agreement is required before we can step in. If getting the signature is where you’re stuck, contact us after at least one documented attempt and we can talk through options.
Who becomes the claimant’s point of contact?
We do. Once we take over, Claim Resolution Partners handles all communication with the claimant for the rest of the recovery.
Why does the check come to CRP?
Routing the recovery check through one place keeps the distribution clean and documented. We disburse every party according to the signed agreements.
How and when do I get paid?
Your agreed split is disbursed within 5 business days of the recovered funds reaching us.
Do you charge anything upfront?
No. Our fee comes from the recovered funds and the percentage is confirmed before we start. No recovery means no fee.
What types of claims do you handle?
Mortgage overages, tax overages and HOA foreclosure overages.
What if the claim needs an attorney?
Tell us in the portal. If an attorney is required — for example for probate, competing liens or a court petition — we coordinate it as part of the recovery.
How will I stay updated?
You’ll receive a progress update every week until the claim is resolved.
How quickly will I hear back after submitting?
Our team confirms every hand-off within 24 hours. You’ll also receive an email confirmation with your case number as soon as you submit.
What documents can I upload?
PDF, JPG, PNG, DOC and DOCX files — up to 10 files, 10MB each. Uploaded documents are stored privately and are only visible to our team.
Still Have Questions?
Our team is happy to talk through your deal before you submit.
